MH Group steps into glass making
Sixty jobs have been saved at CSR Viridian’s glass making plant in Geelong yesterday with the sale of the facility to MH Group for an undisclosed sum.
According to The Geelong Advertiser, immediately after the sale was completed, MH Group announced plans to grow CSR Laverton’s manufacturing operations by securing contracts with its existing clients Ford Australia and Holden.
For MH Group, which supplies exterior plastic components to Australian automotive manufacturers, the acquisition will be its first venture into glass making.
Speaking in the Geelong Advertiser, Chairman of MH Group, Steve Haritos said: “In difficult times you’ve got to be courageous haven’t you.”
